Fun Fast Facts:

- I am a fused glass artist who developed a business called “Abstracted Faces”.
- My faces are sold at Graphic Traffic in Plaza Frontenac as well as through my links.
- Two of my pieces were selected to be in the 11th Annual Faces International Juried Online Art Exhibition on (upstreampeoplegallery.com) website.
- I was selected to be in the Next Generation of Emerging Artists show at Soulard Art Market and Contemporary Art Gallery in 2008.
How would you describe yourself?
- Creative
- shy
- quirky
- fun
- friendly
- supportive
What makes your art different or unique?
My fused glass art is like nothing people have ever seen before. It’s very abstract, unusual, and different. My art is just a fun way of making people out of glass with a bit more style to it.
What are 5 random fun facts about you?
- I LOVE to sing.
- I have a 5 lb. Maltese named Jakey.
- I live on Facebook.
- I love strawberry X-Extreme smoothies from Smoothie King.
- I really enjoy working out at Fitness Together. My favorite trainer is Kim and my other trainer, Jamie, is a body builder .. he’s huge).
What colors make you happy?
Purple, pink, blue and silver (calming colors).
Where did you learn your craft?
I took a 2 week summer camp class at Craft Alliance for glass bead making and fusing glass. The fusing caught my eye more because it allowed me to be more creative and it was almost easier. But what was not easy was learning how to cut circles because it was very precise. So, that’s why I chose to do geometric shapes because it was pretty much just rectangles, triangles, and squares.
How long have you been creating professionally?
2 years and plan to go longer.
Have you ever been published in a magazine, featured on television, etc?
Well, not yet, but I would love to. Although, I do sell my abstracted faces at Plaza Frontenac at Graphic Traffic (upstairs by Saks). I was also selected to be the 11th Annual Faces INTERNATIONAL Juried Online Art Exhibition last week. Out of 250 entries, I was 1 of 57 people chosen from across the world!
When do you feel you are most creative?
When I’m at Glasshopper Studio, my friends (Leslie, Stu, Shug, Doris, Mary Beth, Steve, Daphne, Bev, and Anne) give suggestions and it gets my brain flowing to think outside the box more. This place is my second home and I love being there!
How does creating make you feel?
It makes me feel special because I feel proud of what made and know that I will be able to expand more and more!
Do you listen to music while you create?
I love to listen to music if I’m working at home in my studio, but not when I’m working at Glasshopper Studio. At Glasshopper Studio, I like to brainstorm ideas with my friends/staff and just enjoy myself while talking to them.
If you could have your dream studio anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would have to say it would be in New York City because I love the architectural feeling and the vibe that comes from New York City.
When you aren’t creating, how do you like to spend your time?
When I am not creating, I love to shop, spend time with family and my friends, play with my puppy dog, listen to music, SING, go on the computer, watch t.v., and work out.

The emotions and personalities of these “faces” reflect something which can be found in all of us. It is amazing how the Artist has captured this at such a young age.
